    IFCA ALMS SERIES 2

    Series Organiser : AAR Gashi
Series Support Team : TRC FRANKZ, F4H Koenigsegg, AAR Q Bert, Shota AydrindriL

    Saturdays : 14:00 CST / 20:00 GMT(UK) / 03:00 West OZ (sun)
    (times taken from worldtimezone.com)

IFCA events are catered for fun, clean, competitive racing. All skill levels are welcomed to participate but all we ask is that you are committed to the event. This means, if you sign up an event, you should complete it.
If you are not committed, then the IFCA isn't for you.

This event will see you racing GT2 class cars created for performance parity, with high speed racing that is second to none! It is also restricted to the first 100 Sign Ups only due to the gamertags friends list size restriction

Sign Up period begins Sunday 5th September and closes Saturday 18th September - the first race is Saturday 18th September

THIS IS AN IFCA CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT

Competing in this series means you will collect IFCA Championship Points - these points will determine who will be in the grande finale at the end of the season, to play for money and prizes, as well as the bragging rights!

Turn 10 - They will be providing prize cars and credits

    THE CARS

To view the Official ALMS Series 2 cars, click here

    TEAMS
You do not need to be in a team to participate, but teams are supported. A team may have 2 or more drivers but only the 2 best point scoring drivers will automatically contribute to their teams points for that race meeting. Teams are frozen when the Sign Up period has closed, or when a drivers runs his first race. Team points are based off the regular points scheme

    QUALIFYING

There will only be one qualifying session for the series which will take place before the first race, using Sebring Full. All drivers will get an invite from their room host

Qualifying will take place at 12:30 CST / 16:30 GMT(UK) / 01:30 West OZ (sun), so please be online and ready to go before this time. You will have 8 laps to set your best certified lap. Please space out on the opening lap to give each other room so you can all have clear, unimpeded qualifying laps. Any drivers that lagout or leave the session, will have their best time used as displayed by the results screen. No driver is to drive backwards around the track

If you can not make this qualifying session you must send a message to AAR Gashi via Xbox Live to set up an alternative qualifying session for you. If you miss qualifying altogether but would still like to race, space permitting, contact AAR Gashi via Xbox Live no less than 20 minutes before the race

    CERTIFICATION
Each driver must have a certified lap achieved on their first lap. A slow cautionary lap must be carried out by every driver, staying on the track and away from the grass, curbs and walls. If your lap becomes uncertified, you will have to sacrifice another lap to achieve this very simple task, so go slow and be careful. All uncertified times will be placed behind certified times in order of fastest to slowest

(Collisions OFF, Simulation Damage, STM: OFF)

    THE GRID

Race 1's starting grid will be determined by the Qualifying result. For all subsequent grids however, it will be based on finishing positions. In Room 1 only, the top 6 drivers will be inverted based on the previous race result, with 6th starting 1st and 1st starting 6th. Positions 7 and 8 will be filled with the top 2 finishers of the room below. For all other rooms, the grid will be set by the previous race finish. Positions 1 and 2 will comprise of the 7th and 8th finishers of the room above. Positions 7 and 8 will be the 1st and 2nd place finishers of the room below. All grids after Race 1 will be available on the Friday prior to the Saturday race

    RACE NIGHT

Please be online and ready to race at 14:00 CST / 20:00 GMT(UK) / 03:00 West OZ (sun). All drivers will get an invite from their room host

Each race will begin with a Pace Lap for the rolling 2x2 gridded start on Lap 2, and will be controlled by the Pole Sitter. He can choose to start on the left or the right side of the grid, and will control the start of the race. The start speed will be 60mph / 97 kph, and no-one is to start until the Pole Sitter has given the evenly spaced and timed "3, 2, 1, Go" countdown to the start, which will aim to be at the start/finish straight. Please ensure safe starts by leaving room between rows!

For Race's 4 and 8 at Nurburgring Nordschleife Full and Le Mans Full, drivers are to reverse to the final corners and form up, for the race to begin on Lap 1

There is a mandatory pit stop for every race which must be taken at some point between the end of the first racing lap and 2 laps before the finish. For example, for a 25 lap race, the pit window would be Laps 3 to 23. Whenever a driver enters or leaves the pits, they must call this out to the rest of the lobby. You must also stay on the tarmac at all times and try not to cut the pit entrance. When exiting the pit lane, you must stay to the side until you have got up to racing speed. Do not feed onto the racing line because this is dangerous

    RESTARTS
These can only occur if the following happens:
    - A driver lags out within the first 3 laps
    - Racing collision involving 3 or more cars within the first 3 laps

(Collisions ON, Simulation Damage, STM: OFF)

    MISSED RACE, LAGOUTS AND RETIREMENTS
If a driver misses a race, they will be ordered as if finishing last in their room and receive no points. In the event that more than one driver does not start in a room, the rooms finishing order is judged by the starting order, with the exception of if a driver posted that they were not going to be able to race in the appropriate race thread, in which they will then be classified as finishing ahead of any other non-starting driver that didn't post prior to the race. If you do not complete the race through whatever reason, you will be classified as a retirement, and will be ordered by number of laps completed in the finishing order

    CONNECTION CONFLICTIONS
If you cannot connect to your race room, you will receive last placed points for your lobby upon completing the Connection Confliction procedure stated below. This will be for the first 2 conflicts only, upon which you will then only receive overal last placed points. This classification will be placed outside of the automatic room drop position

    ADDITIONAL INFO

Random car inspections will occur to prevent cheating. If your car does not match the required stats, you are excluded from the series

All 8 races count towards your championship campaign. There are no dropped results

After Race 3, you will be allowed to change your car choice if desired. Teams can also change cars, but all drivers must drive that car

You are required to have a microphone plugged in during the race meeting, otherwise how can we communicate?

It is recommended you save Replays. This may help rectify disputes

You cannot cut corners. Racing is done on the track only. Anyone caught cutting will face anything from a time penalty, grid penalty or DQ.

    CONNECTIONS

Your connection is YOUR responsibility. You must ensure it is the best it can be. This includes :
    - turning off all other equipment using the internet during a race
    - being wired instead of wireless when possible
=== when wireless, making the signal strength the best it can be as denoted by the dashboard
    - finally as a last resort, resetting all equipment

It is highly recommended to get your NAT to appear OPEN (found on your dashboard). If you cannot connect properly on race day, then it will not be delayed. Conflictions with other racers preventing access to rooms will need to be sorted by those in question, and those 1 or 2 racers will need to sort their problems, or they will not be allowed to race. The person with the better qualifying will be allowed to race, as long as he does not conflict with others. It is strongly recommended to get online 30 mins before race time to work out any connection problems

This guide may help you sort your NAT problems

    Confliction on Race Night

If there is a confliction for your race room, you must find out who the confliction is with:
    a) Room Host invites all his players to room
    b) Driver who can't get in then opens a new room (correct settings)
    c) He invites everyone in
    d) Whoever can't get in is where the confliction is
    e) From these 2 drivers, the one with the better qualifying will be allowed to race

This process should not take longer than 5 minutes

    RACE OFFICIALS

If you have any questions or queries regarding any aspect of the series, get in contact with the Series Organiser and Support Team. Alternatively, Race Officials are available. Either PM them on the forum or send them a message on XBL. Don't send a friends request - it won't be accepted if we don't know you, or we don't have room. A message will be read though!

    FINALLY...

Communication is key! With simulation damage, chances cannot be taken that will risk other drivers. No-one's race should be ruined by someone else's mistake
